Converting a combustion-engine vehicle to electric power is not simply a matter of replacing the engine. It involves a complete technical overhaul, requiring a thorough understanding of existing architectures and a high degree of adaptability. XAP removes the internal combustion powertrain, its ancillaries and exhaust system, and installs an electric motor (minimum 80 kWh), one or two battery packs (front, rear or more) with their cooling systems, a 22 kW charger, a bespoke operational monitor and all the necessary safety and control components.

This solution is based on in-house developed products: motor, MVC-100 inverter (dual-motor control with regeneration), battery management system (BMS, CMU), high-current electrical protection devices, distribution system and display; all brought together in a catalogue of specialised components. The entire system has been tested under extreme conditions during the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles: heat, sand, range, reliability and power management. A mobile recharging system powered by biofuel completes the offering, enabling 20 vehicles to operate autonomously. XAP offers a range of options, from the product alone to a ready-to-drive vehicle, including a self-installation kit; its use in competition is supported by the RUN FUN organisation.

Through this retrofit project, XAP and RUN FUN are demonstrating their ability to conceive and implement a well-thought-out industrial transformation.
By combining rigorous engineering, field testing and a sustainable vision, they are offering a credible and ambitious alternative to mass electrification. Here, retrofitting is not merely a conversion: it is an act of commitment, method and progress.
